About
Hello, I’m Ines.
I paint pictures for books, newspapers, theatres and walls, from a small studio above a bakery in Marseille.
Most of my work starts with a pencil and ends in gouache, because it dries fast, sits flat and prints beautifully. I scan everything at 1200 dpi and clean it up digitally, so the colour on the page is the colour on the paper.
Before going independent in 2018 I worked as an in-house illustrator at a children’s publisher in Lyon. I still teach a drawing class there twice a year.
I take on four or five commissions at a time. That way the person you brief is the person who paints it.
